Self Compassion

To be compassionate is to be understanding and kind of somebody in a time of need. I.e. you have a friend going through something, to support them you show you are available to them by listening and being non-judgmental. Self compassion works the same way. How you would treat a friend is how you should treat yourself. We tend to be critical and judgemental of ourselves when in reality we need to be our friend. Stop beating yourself up and be kind to yourself.
